Requirements
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing industry. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Skills:
o Strong negotiation and communication skills.
o Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
o Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge:
o Understanding of supply chain management principles and procurement best practices.
o Familiarity with engineering materials and equipment is a plus.
Responsibilities
Supplier Management:
o Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
o Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent and timely delivery of materials and services.
o Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
Procurement Process:
o Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
o Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure continuous supply of materials without overstocking.
o Coordinate with the engineering and production teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
Cost Management:
o Analyze market trends and pricing conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities.
o Conduct regular cost analyses and report findings to the Procurement Manager.
o Implement strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality.
Quality Control:
o Ensure that all purchased materials and services meet the company’s quality standards.
o Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any issues related to the quality of procured goods.
Documentation and Compliance:
o Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and inventory.
o Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
o Prepare reports on purchasing activities, including cost analyses, supplier performance, and inventory status.
