Job Description

Requirements

  • Possess Boilerman Grade 2 Certificate from DOSH/JKKP.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in operating and maintaining industrial boilers.

  • Proficient in monitoring boiler performance, pressure, and temperature levels to ensure optimal and safe operation.

  • Experience with routine boiler maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.

  • Knowledge of water treatment processes for boilers to prevent scale formation and corrosion.

  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of boiler system issues and identify potential problems.

  • Strict adherence to all safety procedures and regulations related to boiler operation and confined space entry.

  • Familiarity with steam systems and their associated components.

  • Skilled in conducting regular equipment inspections to identify wear and tear or potential defects.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics related to boiler systems.

  • Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English to effectively relay information and follow instructions.

  • Willing to work during weekend and public holiday if necessary.

  • Willingness to work full-time in an on-site capacity at our Parit Jawa, Johor facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operation and monitoring of boilers to ensure efficient and safe steam production, adhering to operational procedures and schedules.

  • Perform routine checks and inspections on boiler systems, including pressure gauges, water levels, and safety valves, to identify any potential issues or deviations from normal operating parameters.

  • Support the maintenance team in carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on boilers and associated equipment, such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.

  • Conduct basic water treatment tests and assist in the administration of chemicals as directed to maintain water quality and prevent scale formation or corrosion within the boiler system.

  • Respond to routine alarms and system alerts, performing initial troubleshooting steps under supervision to diagnose and resolve minor operational problems.

  • Maintain accurate logs and records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and any observed anomalies, ensuring all documentation is completed promptly and accurately.

  • Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and regulations related to boiler operation, including lockout/tagout procedures, confined space entry, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
