Internship Opportunity: IoT & Mechatronics Engineer Intern

Location: Sailcott (M) International Sdn Bhd, Kota Kemuning

Duration: Internship (3–6 months preferred)

Open to: Diploma / Degree students

About the Role

We are looking for an IoT & Mechatronics Engineer Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in real-world IoT projects. You will be exposed to system integration, device deployment, and smart technology solutions in a practical working environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in installing, configuring, and testing IoT devices, sensors, and gateways
• Support basic IoT system integration (hardware & simple software)
• Help in deployment, commissioning, and on-site testing
• Perform basic troubleshooting (devices, connectivity, data)
• Support data collection, monitoring, and simple reporting
• Assist in preparing documentation and system diagrams
• Work with engineers and technicians on ongoing projects
• Support maintenance and improvement of IoT systems

Requirements

• Currently pursuing Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Computer Engineering / IT or related field
• Basic understanding of IoT (sensors, connectivity, data flow)
• Basic knowledge of programming (Python or C/C++)
• Familiar with Arduino / Raspberry Pi is a plus
• Willing to learn, proactive, and able to work in a team
• Willing to travel to project sites if required

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with ESP32, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi
• Basic knowledge of networking or Linux
• Exposure to IoT platforms, dashboards, or data visualization
• Any related academic project or previous internship
