Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Finance Manager role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Finance Manager oversees day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, cash flow management, and timely month-end and year-end closing. This role prepares and reviews financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and adherence to local tax and regulatory requirements. The Finance Manager develops and monitors internal controls, supports audits, and manages relationships with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies. The role also partners with other departments to analyze financial performance, evaluate business cases, optimize costs, and support strategic decisions for UVACO’s growth in the Southeast Asian market. The Finance Manager leads and mentors the finance team, promoting continuous improvement in processes, systems, and reporting quality.

Qualifications

• Proficient in general finance and accounting systems as well as internal control operations.
• Responsible for company accounting transactions, conducting cost analysis and anomaly control to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash flow allocation to maintain company liquidity and operational stability.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, consolidated financial statements, and management reports to provide insights for executive decision-making.
• Oversee budget management, including budget preparation, execution monitoring, and performance analysis, ensuring effective financial planning.
• Plan and execute tax filings and tax management in Malaysia to ensure compliance and minimize tax risks.
• Handle fund allocation, treasury management, and financial planning to optimize capital utilization efficiency.
• Assist the company in applying for operational licenses and necessary documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Engage in cross-departmental communication and financial strategy planning, providing data support and operational recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields. professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are preferred.)
• Fluent in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• At least5 years of experience in financial accounting, including managerial experience, with the following preferred qualifications:
• At least 2-3 years of experience in an accounting firm, with strong financial auditing and accounting capabilities.
• Experience in direct selling or retail industry finance management is a plus, with familiarity in industry operations and cost control mechanisms.
• Proficient in financial statement analysis, cost management, and budget planning, providing financial strategy support.
• Experienced in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow allocation, and liquidity management to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Familiar with Malaysian tax regulations, with experience in tax filing, tax planning, and risk management.
