Job Description

• Support organisation-wide Data Governance initiatives with focus on unstructured data
• Assist in implementing and enhancing the Data Governance Framework, standards, and controls
• Design and optimise governance tools for metadata, data access, tagging, and quality management
• Drive adoption of unstructured data governance, including taxonomy and ontology management
• Support automated data classification and tagging to improve discoverability and AI readiness
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to embed governance into daily operations
• Support data privacy, protection, and security compliance with regulatory requirements
• Monitor governance effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to training, awareness, and change management activities across the organisation

The Successful Applicant

• 1+ years of experience in data governance or data management with technical exposure
• Strong knowledge of metadata management, data classification, privacy, and security controls
• Hands-on experience with data governance tools such as data catalogues or data quality platforms
• Understanding of data foundations required for AI and analytics use cases
• Exposure to unstructured data management, auto-classification, or data tagging is an advantage
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and profiling
• Working knowledge of Python for data processing, automation, or text mining
• Experience with scripting, automation, or API integration to support governance processes
• Strong stakeholder communication skills within technology or financial services environments
