Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily inspection, maintenance and repair works for electrical systems and building facilities at the assigned property management site.
  • Assist the Facility Manager and Chargeman A4 in preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance works.
  • Attend to electrical-related complaints including lighting issues, power socket issues, common area electrical fittings, minor power trips and other related maintenance issues.
  • Conduct routine checks on common area lighting, electrical fittings, distribution boards, riser rooms, pump rooms, generator set room and other M&E areas under supervision.
  • Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical faults and report any abnormal condition to the Chargeman A4 or Facility Manager.
  • Carry out minor electrical repair and replacement works such as lights, switches, sockets, fittings and other general electrical items where applicable and under proper supervision.
  • Assist in checking and monitoring generator set, pumps, electrical panels, common lighting and other building M&E equipment.
  • Assist the Chargeman A4 during inspections, testing, servicing, breakdown response and other electrical maintenance activities.
  • Assist in monitoring contractors and service providers carrying out electrical, generator set, pump, fire-fighting, lift, ACMV and other M&E maintenance works at site.
  • Report any defects, damages, safety hazards, equipment failure, power trips, burning smell, overheating, water leakage near electrical areas or abnormal conditions immediately.
  • Maintain proper daily checklists, maintenance records, complaint records and work done reports.
  • Update and maintain maintenance records in the company’s property management system / application / software where required.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, spare parts and materials are properly used, stored and maintained.
  • Ensure all electrical and maintenance works are carried out safely and in accordance with site safety procedures.
  • Assist in emergency response including power failure, water disruption, flooding, fire alarm activation, equipment breakdown and other urgent site matters.
  • Keep electrical rooms, M&E rooms, pump rooms, generator set room, store rooms and maintenance areas clean, safe and organized.
  • Perform any other duties related to electrical maintenance, building maintenance and facilities operations as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, Facilities Maintenance, Engineering or any related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in electrical maintenance, building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property management or related field.
  • Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use or building management environment will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge in electrical troubleshooting, common area lighting, wiring, power sockets, pumps, generator set and general building maintenance.
  • Able to carry out basic electrical and general maintenance works under supervision.
  • Able to respond to maintenance complaints and assist in troubleshooting site issues.
  • Responsible, disciplined, hands-on and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia. Basic English is an added advantage.
  • Computer literate and able to update basic maintenance records will be an added advantage.
  • Possession of electrical competency certificate such as PW2 / PW4 will be an added advantage, but not compulsory.
  • Training and guidance will be provided by the Facility Manager and Chargeman A4.
  • Willing to work on-site and attend to urgent maintenance matters when required.
  • Candidate must possess own transport and be able to travel for site-related matters when required.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m.
Saturday: 8.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.
