Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Software Support Executive to support and maintain enterprise systems for our client, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
You will be responsible for handling user issues, troubleshooting system problems, and ensuring smooth daily operations of mission-critical systems such as procurement and internal platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day system support to users
- Handle and resolve support tickets (L1 / basic L2)
- Troubleshoot issues related to:
- System errors
- Data discrepancies
- User access problems
- Perform basic SQL queries for data checking and validation
- Monitor system performance and report anomalies
- Escalate complex issues to technical/development team
- Support system testing activities (UAT / SIT)
- Assist in system deployment and configuration updates
- Prepare simple reports and documentation
Requirements
Must Have:
- Diploma / Degree in IT / Computer Science or related field
- 1–2 years experience in software/application support (fresh grads with strong interest are encouraged)
- Basic knowledge of:
- SQL (SELECT, JOIN, basic troubleshooting)
- Web-based applications
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good communication (BM & English)
Good to Have:
- Experience with:
- PHP systems (Yii2 / Laravel)
- Microsoft SQL Server / MySQL
- Familiar with:
- API / integration concepts
- Experience handling:
- Helpdesk / ticketing system
- Exposure to:
- Government or enterprise systems
Working Hours
- Monday – Friday (Office hours)
- May require standby/on-call support (rotation basis)
