To implement and maintain the hospital’s Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Management Program. 3. Responsible for the development of safety and health rules and safe systems in the workplace.4. Review the effectiveness of safety and health programs.
Carry out studies on the trends of accidents, near-miss accidents, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning, or occupational disease that occur at the workplace, and shall report to the employer any unsafe or unhealthy condition or practices at the place of work together with recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.6. Review the safety and health policies at the workplace and make recommendations to the employer for any revision of such policies.
Plan and conduct OSH and security training for staff.8.To liaise with DOSH, BOMBA, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, local authorities, etc., for OSH and environmental-related issues and licenses.9. To work closely with Facility Engineering and Maintenance Services and Healthcare Technical Services (HTS) for any activities related to OSH activities.10. Develop and update the hospital’s Emergency Response Plan11. Serve as Incident Commander during critical events.12. Lead emergency preparedness and response drills and exercises.13. Plan and assist in managing the Services budget.14. Conduct risk assessments and safety audits; implement corrective actions.15. To participate in quality and risk activities when required.16. To conduct periodic OSH meetings and to sit in relevant meetings when required.17. To perform any other duties as and when required by management.18.
