• Assist in the daily operational activities of the purchasing department, including order placement, expediting, and follow-up.

• Support senior purchasing staff in sourcing new suppliers, obtaining quotations, and comparing prices to ensure cost-effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.

• Collaborate with the inventory management team to monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.

• Participate in the evaluation of vendor performance and assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues.

• Conduct basic cost analysis on purchased goods and services to identify potential savings opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.

• Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors to facilitate smooth procurement processes.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

• Assist in the preparation of reports related to purchasing activities and performance metrics.

• Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs);

• Monitor and track POs, ensure material are timely delivery;

• Monitor inventory level from company ERP system on stock levels avoid overstocking or shortage of material;

• Ensure purchases work flow comply with company policies and regulations;

• Maintain an updated purchasing records and documentation;

• Assess supplier performance;

• Participate in supplier audits or reviews;

• Request quotations, negotiate prices, terms and contracts with new vendors;

• Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers and develop new sources.

• The Purchasing area handle will be indirect material, consumables, services, repairs, etc
