Job Description

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in metal stamping or press machine operations.

  • Familiar with stamping dies, press machine structure, and metal stamping processes.

  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.

  • Capable of independently performing mold setup, machine adjustment, and first-piece inspection.

  • Knowledge of stamping defect analysis and troubleshooting methods.

  • Familiar with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical maintenance.

  • Able to diagnose equipment faults, dismantle machine parts, and replace components independently.

  • Strong safety awareness, responsibility, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willing to work shifts, overtime, and attend emergency maintenance when required.

Responsibilities

Stamping Mold Setup & Debugging

  • Perform mold lifting, installation, alignment, locking, and mold changing for progressive dies, compound dies, and single stamping dies.

  • Set and adjust press machine parameters including pressure, stroke, speed, and feeder settings according to engineering drawings and process requirements.

  • Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and confirm production readiness before mass production.

  • Troubleshoot common stamping defects such as burrs, scratches, cracks, wrinkles, scrap jumping, jamming, and dimensional deviations.

  • Support new product, new mold, and new machine trial runs; record abnormalities and propose process or mold improvement actions.

  • Carry out minor mold repair and maintenance including trimming, polishing, and die clearance adjustment to reduce downtime.

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

  • Execute daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance activities including cleaning, lubrication, tightening, and calibration.

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical components such as crankshafts, connecting rods, bearings, clutches, brakes, slide blocks, and gearboxes.

  • Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems including oil pumps, solenoid valves, cylinders, pipelines, and sealing components.

  • Replace hydraulic oil, filters, and worn parts according to maintenance schedules.

  • Troubleshoot basic electrical and control components including circuits, contactors, inverters, limit switches, and safety light curtains.

  • Respond to machine breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize production interruption.

  • Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify abnormalities such as unusual noise, oil leakage, vibration, and overheating.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain proper records for mold setup, machine debugging, maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.

  • Support production and quality teams in analyzing defective products and implementing corrective actions.

  • Provide guidance to machine operators on standard operating procedures (SOP), safe machine operation, 5S, and LOTO practices.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve machine efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase production yield.
