Job Description

Requirements

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.

  • Possess 3-5 years of proven experience as a Site Safety Supervisor, preferably within the construction industry.

  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting thorough safety inspections and site audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.

  • Proficiency in developing and implementing risk assessments and safety procedures tailored to construction site environments.

  • Experience in managing emergency response plans and protocols, including drills and training.

  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and other relevant health and safety legislation applicable in Malaysia.

  • Ability to deliver effective safety training sessions to site personnel and promote a positive safety culture.

  • Skilled in accident investigation, root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with site management, workers, and regulatory bodies.

  • Proven problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail to address safety concerns proactively.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring all safety objectives are met.

  • Have valid JKKP Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, ensure compliance with safety regulations (OSHA), and recommend corrective actions.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk assessments for all site activities, proactively identifying and mitigating potential safety risks.

  • Lead and coordinate emergency response drills and procedures, ensuring all personnel are trained and prepared to handle various emergency scenarios.

  • Deliver engaging and informative safety training sessions to all site personnel, promoting a strong safety culture and adherence to best practices.

  • Investigate all site accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing preventative measures to avoid recurrence.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, including inspection reports, training logs, and incident documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, site engineers, and workers to foster a proactive safety environment and address safety concerns promptly.

  • Ensure all safety equipment is available, properly maintained, and utilized correctly by all personnel on site.
