Job Description

Requirements

Industry: Construction

Project Site: Klang Valley

  • Possess at least a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Professional Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • Must possess a valid Yellow Book registered with Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH Malaysia) as a Site Safety Supervisor (SSS).

  • Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in construction site safety, health, and environmental management.

  • Candidates with experience in high-rise building construction projects will be given priority.

  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health regulations, including Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) requirements, CIDB safety standards, and relevant statutory compliance.

  • Familiar with HSE documentation, risk assessment, incident investigation, permit-to-work system, safety inspections, and audit processes.

  • Experience in monitoring subcontractors, site workers, and construction activities to ensure compliance with safety requirements.

  • Able to identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety training.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and report preparation.

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and perform effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

  • Willing to work on-site and travel to project locations when required.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Safety and Health Officer on all health, safety, and environmental matters.

  • Conduct weekly safety and health toolbox meetings for site workers to promote safety awareness and compliance.

  • Manage day-to-day administration, monitoring, and incident reporting related to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) matters.

  • Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards, eliminate unsafe conditions, and ensure compliance with HSE requirements across all business operations and subcontractors.

  • Review and monitor site activities, permits, certificates, and relevant documentation to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company safety standards at all times.

  • Prepare, compile, and submit HSE reports, findings, and recommendations to the Safety and Health Officer.

  • Maintain, update, and ensure proper filing of all HSE-related records, documents, and data.

  • Assist the Safety and Health Officer in developing, reviewing, and improving HSE management system documentation, including HSE policies, procedures, and objectives.

  • Monitor subcontractors and site personnel to ensure adherence to safety procedures, regulations, and safe work practices.

  • Perform any other duties or assignments as instructed by the superior from time to time.
