Job Description

Requirements

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies for the General Trade channel to achieve volume, market share, and profitability targets.

  • Manage and lead a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, motivation, and performance management to ensure high productivity and achievement of individual and team goals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and retailers within the General Trade network to ensure optimal product placement, visibility, and sales.

  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats, and to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to the sales team, identifying areas for development and implementing training programs as needed.

  • Negotiate terms and agreements with trade partners, ensuring mutually beneficial relationships and maximizing sales potential.

  • Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis, reporting, and presentation of sales strategies and results.

  • Collaborate with marketing and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on product launches, promotions, and inventory management within the General Trade channel.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintain high ethical standards in all sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and retailers in the General Trade network, fostering partnerships that drive brand growth and market penetration.

  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges, making data-driven recommendations for sales strategies and promotional activities.

  • Oversee the implementation of promotional campaigns and trade marketing initiatives within the General Trade channel, ensuring effective execution and maximum return on investment.

  • Manage the sales budget for the General Trade channel, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and adherence to financial targets.

  • Conduct regular market visits to assess product visibility, stock levels, and competitor presence, providing insights and feedback to the marketing and operations teams.

  • Negotiate terms and agreements with trade partners, ensuring favorable conditions that support the company's profitability and market share objectives.

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to ensure alignment between sales strategies and marketing campaigns, driving consistent brand messaging and promotional support in the General Trade environment.

  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, achievements, challenges, and future outlook for the General Trade channel.
