Lead System Engineer (WINTEL - RHEL)
- We are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer with expertise in Windows and Red HatEnterprise Linux environments to join our organization in Singapore. In this role, you will beresponsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure solutions thatsupport our enterprise operations. You will work with cutting-edge technologies while ensuringsystem reliability, security, and optimal performance across our IT landscape. Design, deploy, and manage Windows Server and RHEL infrastructure solutions in on-premises and hybrid environments Perform system administration tasks including user management, access controls, patchmanagement, and security hardening across both platforms Develop and implement automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, and Python tostreamline operational processes and improve efficiency Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and optimize infrastructure to ensuremaximum uptime and resource utilization Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions to minimizebusiness impact Manage virtualization platforms and storage solutions, ensuring proper configuration andcapacity planning Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure changes andupgrades while maintaining system stability Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and architecturaldecisions Conduct security assessments and implement best practices to protect infrastructurefrom vulnerabilities Participate in incident management and provide on-call support as needed Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommendimprovements to existing systemsQualificationsThe ideal candidate should possess: Technical Expertise: - Strong proficiency in Windows Server (Wintel) administration andmanagement (Must Have) Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) (Must Have)Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) (Must Have) Strong team coordination and collaboration abilities (Must Have) Effective presentation skills for stakeholder engagement (Must Have) Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines (MustHave) Documentation: - Proven ability to create detailed and accurate technical documentation(Must Have)Certification: - ITIL Foundation certification (Must Have)Good to Have Experience with IBM AIX administration Knowledge of IBM Spectrum Protect (backup and recovery solutions) Familiarity with CyberArk (Privileged Access Management) Experience with IBM QRadar (Security Information and Event Management) Knowledge of Symantec EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) Experience with IBM Tivoli Monitoring Familiarity with RSA security solutions Experience in vulnerability remediation tracking and managementEducation—Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, ComputerEngineering, or related fieldExperience Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration, operations, orsupport roles Experience supporting enterprise or government sector projects is an advantage
