Chair toolbox meeting & check attendance of Team Leads and Operators at the start of the shift to ensure all required employees are available. In the event of unplanned employee absences, the Supervisor must seek temporary resources from other production sections to make good the manpower shortfall. If this is not possible, the Supervisor must review the production schedule for the day, and re-prioritize the manufacturing operations as necessary to meet delivery commitments. The Production Manager should be promptly informed of any changes to work scheduling for the day, including any actions taken to prevent production delays. The Production Supervisor is also required to inform the Sales Team of any changes to the production delivery date while keeping the Production Manager informed.
Update HR Department on status of any late reporting or absenteeism by employees.
If overtime work is deemed necessary to cope with the production demands, this should be arranged early in the shift with the operators, and overtime requests submitted to the Production Manager for timely approval.
