- About the Position Silara Akses Sdn Bhd is seeking a competent and hands-on Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) for a data centre construction project in Serendah involving the supply, delivery, erection and dismantling of heavy-duty tubular scaffolding. The successful candidate will be stationed full-time at the project site and will oversee safety compliance throughout our scaffolding operations. Candidates with recognised scaffolding competency, particularly DOSH Level 2 (Intermediate Level), will have an advantage, as the position is also expected to inspect erected scaffolds within the limits of the candidate's competency and authorisation. Contract Details - Full-time, site-based contract position - Location: Serendah, Selangor (Data Centre project) - Minimum contract period: 6 months - Contract may be extended depending on project completion - Commencement: As soon as possible - Salary: RM3,000-RM5,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience Site Safety Responsibilities - Be present full-time at the project site to monitor Silara Akses's scaffolding activities. - Implement and monitor compliance with project safety requirements, approved work procedures and applicable Malaysian safety regulations. - Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards. - Conduct or coordinate toolbox meetings, safety briefings and daily pre-work discussions. - Ensure workers use the required personal protective equipment and follow safe working practices. - Assist with job safety analyses, risk assessments, permit-to-work requirements and method-statement compliance. - Stop or escalate unsafe work and coordinate corrective action with the site and project teams. - Investigate and document incidents, near misses and safety non-compliance. - Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, registers and supporting documentation. - Liaise with the client, main contractor, project management team, scaffold supervisors and workers on safety matters. Scaffolding Inspection Responsibilities - Inspect erected heavy-duty tubular scaffolds within the candidate's competency and authorised scope. - Check scaffold foundations, standards, ledgers, transoms, bracing, ties, access arrangements, platforms, guardrails, toe boards and other safety components. - Confirm that scaffolds are suitable for their intended use before allowing access, subject to the project's inspection and approval procedures. - Inspect scaffolds following erection, alteration, rectification or other conditions requiring reinspection. - Implement and maintain the applicable scaffold-tagging and inspection-record system. - Identify scaffold defects or non-compliance and coordinate rectification before use. - Work closely with the scaffolding supervisor and erection team to maintain safe scaffold structures throughout the project. - Sign or endorse scaffold inspection records only where appropriately competent and authorised. Requirements - Valid Site Safety Supervisor competency or registration recognised by DOSH Malaysia. - Relevant experience supervising safety activities on construction or industrial project sites. - Experience in scaffolding operations, work at height or heavy-duty tubular scaffolding is strongly preferred. - DOSH-recognised Scaffolding Level 2 (Intermediate Level) competency is an advantage. - Able to inspect erected scaffolds within the scope of the candidate's qualifications and authorisation. - Familiar with toolbox meetings, risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work systems and incident reporting. - Good documentation, communication and coordination skills. - Able to work independently and maintain a firm, professional approach to safety compliance. - Willing to work full-time in Serendah for at least six months and, if required, until project completion. - Available to commence work as soon as possible. - Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia; working English proficiency is an advantage.
