Minimum Qualifications: 1. Education & Experience: Diploma or professional certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. 2. Power and Cooling Knowledge: Familiarity with standard data center power and cooling calculations and design benchmarks (e.g., TIA-942 guidelines, ASHRAE thermal standards for data centers). Able to interpret capacity requirements and load calculations. 3. Power Redundancy Expertise: Experience with power redundancy architectures and their implementation in design (e.g., understanding 2N, N+1 distributed redundant power systems and how they impact uptime). 4. Cooling Redundancy & Maintainability: Understanding of cooling system redundancy and concurrent maintainability in designs (e.g., N+1 or N+2 configurations for chillers/CRAH units, and how they allow maintenance without downtime). 5. Hands-on Construction & Commissioning: Experience in the following areas: - Supervision of data hall fit-out construction activities, including coordinating IT infrastructure installation, power distribution, and cooling system deployment according to plan. - Managing or closely working with testing and commissioning teams to perform Level 1 through Level 5 commissioning tests, validating that systems meet the design intent, and troubleshooting any technical problems. 6. Equipment Knowledge: Practical engineering knowledge of major electrical and mechanical systems commonly found in data centers - for example, backup generators and fuel systems, UPS systems and electrical switchgear/sub-panels, cooling towers and chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, fire suppression systems, etc. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Adaptability: A high level of agility and organization - able to prioritize work and adjust to changing project needs in a fast-paced environment with significant ambiguity. 2. Vendor/Project Management: Experience engaging with external vendors, contractors, or managing projects/programs in a large-scale construction or infrastructure environment. Proven ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and drive outcomes. 3. Problem Solving & Judgment: Demonstrated sound judgment and a calculated, risk-aware approach to decision-making when facing uncertainties. Capable of identifying potential quality risks early and recommending effective mitigation or corrective actions. 4. Continuous Improvement: Passion for continuous improvement of processes. Experience capturing lessons learned from projects and contributing to the development of better QA/QC practices or standards is a plus. 5. Certifications (Optional): Relevant professional certifications in quality or project management (such as Certified Quality Manager, ISO 9001 Auditor, or PMP) are advantageous, as is familiarity with international data center standards and uptime tier guidelines. 6. 3+ years of relevant experience in construction or commissioning of critical facilities (data centers preferred).
Audit & Compliance: Perform internal/external quality audits and ensure the team adheres to standards like ISO 9001 or manufacturing/construction guidelines.
Vendor & Client Liaison: Verify contractor quality requirements and assist in addressing customer complaints or vendor improvements.
Education: Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial) or a related field.
