Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the stewarding team to ensure cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Ensure proper cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and cutlery.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health and safety standards.
• Manage stewarding schedules, staff allocation, and daily operational tasks.
• Monitor the use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and stewarding equipment.
• Coordinate with the Executive Chef and other departments to support smooth kitchen operations.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and operational standards.
• Train, guide, and monitor stewarding staff to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification; a certificate or diploma in hospitality is an advantage.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in stewarding or kitchen operations, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, food safety, hygiene standards, and cleaning procedures.
• Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Able to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Responsible, organized, proactive, and attentive to detail.
• Possess a valid Food Handler Training certificate and typhoid vaccination, in accordance with applicable requirements.
