Job description

• Clean and prepares all basic food items mise-en-place for both a la carte and buffet
• Helps to prepare orders according to the standard procedures
• Picked up food requisition from the store and well arranged all the items according to the FIFO system by expiry date
• Cleaning and tidy up the walk in chiller for fresh items regularly as per instructed
• Adheres strictly to the cleanliness of the kitchen area as well as equipment and machines
• Maintain proper personal appearance including uniform, hat and name tag
• Adheres strictly to the standard recipes for the various dishes and avoid the wastage
• Checking and refilling the buffet items
• To cut and clear food items from the buffet
• Pay attention to the safety, security and energy saving rules
• To avoid wastage of food items
• Any other duties that maybe assigned to you from time to time / or as and when required

Job Requirements

• Minimum SPM qualification
• Preferable to have a degree or diploma on culinary course
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices
