We're looking for a FinOps Engineer to help drive cost optimization and cloud financial governance across our AWS infrastructure and GCP footprint. You'll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, and Product to find and ship savings, build the tooling necessary to maximize efficiency of every dollar spent in the cloud, and cultivate a culture of cost awareness across engineering teams.
This is a hands-on engineering role, not an analyst seat. You'll do the schlep work other teams don't have time for, digging into a bucket's access pattern, writing the Terraform or Lambda that ships the fix, working on a product feature chasing a number until it reconciles, and influencing product decisions when cost to reliability tradeoffs hit. Strong communication matters as much as technical depth, you'll regularly explain a savings case to an engineering team, a finance stakeholder, and a leadership audience in the same week.
Produce co-marketing content and enablement assets (case studies, campaign materials, partner-facing documentation) for our gaming, enterprise, startup, and AI segments
Plan and execute joint campaigns with AWS field and marketing teams, from initial concept through launch
Support AWS-funded marketing engagements and executive-facing events with content and coordination

Package software into our supabase/postgres repo using Nix (with flakes), and help us transition our packaging from traditional to Nix packaging more over time.
You own the problem statement and requirements behind every platform bet. You define what we're building and why before engineering starts, name the cost, capacity and reliability constraints, and keep that clarity current through execution.
You decide what gets built, what gets deferred, and what gets cut. Every quarter you're choosing between enterprise unlocks that open new markets, cost and performance wins for the long tail of projects, and net-new capabilities that change what Supabase can run. The priorities are yours, and so is defending them.
You own reliability as a product surface. You set service levels that track what customers experience, hold teams to them, and show customers what it takes to run millions of databases.
