- Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Trade Operator will be responsible for managing end-to-end physical trade operations for thermal coal and metallurgical coal cargoes. The role will cover the full execution cycle, including reviewing sales and purchase contracts, coordinating vessel nominations, loading and discharge schedules, and managing shipping documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with traders, counterparties, shipowners, brokers, surveyors, banks and internal finance teams to ensure smooth cargo execution. Responsibilities will also include handling Letters of Credit, ensuring documents comply with contractual and banking requirements, monitoring shipment progress, managing invoicing and payments, and performing laytime, demurrage and despatch calculations. The role will also support receivables, payables, month-end processes and cash flow monitoring while identifying and mitigating operational risks throughout the trade lifecycle.
