- * Supervise all general ledger accounting activities as well as audit and tax functions while leading the preparation of standardised financial statements for the organisation. * Manage compliance with local, state, and Central Bank reporting requirements by coordinating timely submissions and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations. * Oversee tax estimates and submissions to the Inland Revenue Authority, ensuring all schedules are completed accurately and on time for review by tax agents in line with IRB requirements. * Coordinate year-end closing processes and act as the primary liaison with external auditors for both quarterly and annual financial audits; manage communications with MIDA regarding tax incentives. * Assist in monitoring ongoing compliance with all applicable laws and regulations affecting the business's financial operations. * Maintain comprehensive financial reporting systems by obtaining, recording, and managing all necessary data to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports. * Establish robust internal controls (including SOX compliance), oversee contract compliance procedures, approve journal entries, and safeguard financial security across all functions. * Plan, direct, organise, and schedule specialised accounting activities while ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. * Collaborate closely with IT teams to test systems integrations and validate information from various interfaces for accuracy in financial reporting. * Prepare or supervise the creation of special statistical reports, surveys, CAPEX assessments, investment project analyses (including payback periods and ROI), as well as interpret operational data to explain trends against budgets or forecasts. ...
