About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal & Trainer to lead training centre operations and deliver technical training in electrical systems and integrated building services.

This role requires relevant hands-on industry or training experience in one or more of the technical areas listed below. Candidates with experience limited to automotive training are not suitable for this position.

Areas of Technical Expertise

• Electrical system installation, testing and commissioning
• LV switchboard design, operation and maintenance
• Standby generator operation and maintenance
• UPS operation and maintenance
• Lightning protection systems (LPS)
• KNX systems
• Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Power Quality Management (PQM)
• HVAC and CRAC systems
• Fire-fighting systems

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the training centre and supervise trainers.
• Plan, develop and coordinate technical training programmes based on industry requirements.
• Deliver classroom and practical training in relevant areas of expertise.
• Coordinate specialist trainers for technical areas outside your expertise.
• Assess trainee competency and maintain training and assessment quality.
• Oversee workshop safety, equipment use, training materials and programme records.
• Build industry relationships to support training development, trainee placements and employment opportunities.
• Monitor trainee progress and provide guidance throughout their training.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or strong relevant technical qualifications.
• At least 8 years of industry or technical training experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience in one or more of the listed technical areas.
• Experience leading a team, training centre or technical programme.
• Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to deliver both classroom and practical training.
• Candidates with experience across multiple technical areas will be preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Electrical engineering: 8 years (Preferred)
