Job Description
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in accordance with established timelines.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications accurately and timely.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
- Manage fixed assets accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management reporting.
- Handle intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and settlements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and migration projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting issues.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Record-to-Report (RTR), General Ledger, or Financial Reporting.
- Strong knowledge of month-end closing, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experience in a Shared Services Centre (SSC) environment is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Good understanding of IFRS and accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.
