About Our Client

A reputable MNC shared service centre located in Selangor.

Job Description

  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in accordance with established timelines.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications accurately and timely.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
  • Manage fixed assets accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management reporting.
  • Handle intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and settlements.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and migration projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting issues.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Record-to-Report (RTR), General Ledger, or Financial Reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of month-end closing, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience in a Shared Services Centre (SSC) environment is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Good understanding of IFRS and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.
