JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To advise management on the requirements of Safety, Health & Environmental related matters and ensure compliance to current regulations such as Environmental ACT, FMA, DOSH, DOE and other related safety regulations
• To develop and implement SHE policies; ensure policies, safety manuals, rules and procedures are in place and enforced
• Inspections; inspect the workplace for potential hazards;record near-

miss cases, assess the risks and report potential hazards.

• To investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning or occupational diseases and report to the management.
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and recommend necessary improvements
• To assist the employer or the Safety and Health Committee, pursuant to regulation 11 of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996 [P. U.(A) 616/96] in organizing and implementing occupational safety and health programs at the place of work.
• Ensure compliance: ensure the organization is compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements .
• Conduct Safety and Health briefing for Staff and Workers.
• Provide safety guidance and training for site employees.
• Oversee maintenance activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidate must be a registered Safety and Health Officer with DOSH; green book holder.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment or related field
• Well-versed with Occupational Safety and Health Act.
• Ensure compliance with DOSH, HOE and federal/state Safety & Health requirements
• Computer literate and with good spoken & written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Team player, proactive, strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good knowledge in Malaysian OSH Management System standards
• Good knowledge in ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
