Responsibilities
Role Overview
The Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing operations at Hong Rui’s production facility. This includes production planning, workforce management, quality control, safety compliance, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational excellence and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Operations Management
Oversee daily factory operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are met
Develop and implement production schedules aligned with business demand
Monitor KPIs (output, downtime, yield, OEE, etc.) and drive performance improvements
Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials
2. Quality Assurance & Control
Ensure all products meet internal and customer quality standards
Work closely with QA/QC teams to resolve defects and implement corrective actions
Drive root cause analysis and continuous quality improvement initiatives
3. Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Singapore workplace safety regulations (e.g. WSH requirements)
Enforce safety procedures and conduct regular audits and risk assessments
Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the factory
4. Cost & Resource Management
Manage factory budget, cost control, and resource allocation
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams
5. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, supervise, and develop production teams, supervisors, and technicians
Conduct performance reviews and implement training programs
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
6. Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives
Implement Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma / Kaizen initiatives
Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Lead digitalization or automation projects where applicable
7. Maintenance & Equipment Management
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs
Ensure machinery uptime and operational reliability
Coordinate with engineering teams for upgrades and troubleshooting
8. Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, engineering, and sales teams
Communicate production status, risks, and improvement plans to management
Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
