Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and maintain production machinery and equipment according to established SOPs, work instructions, and production schedules.
• Start, stop, and monitor machines during production operations to ensure smooth and efficient operation within specified parameters.
• Ensure the quality and output of assigned production orders meet the required specifications and production targets.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and settings as instructed by the supervisor to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
• Monitor machine performance and identify any abnormal operating conditions, including breakdowns, malfunctions, unusual noises, or irregular machine movements. Report such issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist in machine setup, changeover, troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair works of production machinery and equipment when required.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, basic maintenance, and pre- and post-operation machine condition checks to ensure equipment is maintained in good working condition.
• Ensure all machine safety guards and safety devices are properly installed and functioning. Strictly comply with all safety rules, engineering practices, work procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Monitor and ensure that finished goods and semi-finished products are properly identified, labelled, and handled to prevent mix-ups.
• Record machine operating conditions, production output, downtime, and other production-related information accurately where required.
• Maintain good housekeeping by keeping the workplace, machinery, tools, and surrounding areas clean, tidy, and organised at all times.
• Ensure that all production activities comply with the established quality, safety, and operational procedures.
• Assist the supervisor and maintenance team in carrying out machinery-related activities and production improvement initiatives when required.
• Carry out any other machinery-related duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
