Position: Buyer

Location: Senai, Johor

Join our Purchasing & Supply Chain team and play a key role in ensuring the timely procurement of materials while building strong supplier partnerships to support business operations.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials and services based on production and business requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including price and commercial negotiations.
• Plan, coordinate, and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and resolve supply issues to maintain production continuity.
• Manage inventory levels to support operational efficiency and minimize excess stock.
• Coordinate Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementation to reduce inventory exposure.
• Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, and supplier documentation.
• Work closely with suppliers, Manufacturing, and Quality teams on material returns, replacements, and corrective actions.
• Conduct monthly supplier performance reviews and drive continuous supplier improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience. Experience in the EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) industry is an added advantage.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Fluency in Mandarin is preferred to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and clients.
