Safety Officer (Biomass/Wood Pellet Manufacturing Industry)

Location : Kuala Lipis, Pahang
Salary : RM3,500 – RM4,800 per month
(Salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications)

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Officer to join RAINBOW PELLET SDN. BHD. in Kuala Lipis, Pahang. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and promoting a safe working environment across our operations. This role is essential to our commitment to creating a workplace where safety is paramount and every employee returns home safely at the end of each day.

• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety & Health and environmental requirements.

• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.

• Developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines tailored to our operations.

• Prepare and monitor HIRARC, risk assessments and safe work procedures.

• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and safety training.

• Monitor PPE usage and safe working practices.

• Investigate workplace accidents/incidents and follow up on corrective actions.

• Maintain safety records, reports and relevant documentation.

• Assist with DOSH/JKKP, DOE, External Agencies and other authority inspections and requirements.

• Reviewing and updating emergency response procedures and conducting regular emergency drills.

• Providing advice and support to management and staff on occupational health and safety matters.

• Perform other safety-related duties assigned by Management.

• Diploma/Degree/relevant qualification or equivalent professional certification in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health, Engineering or a related field.

• 2–3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in manufacturing, biomass, wood pellet, engineering or industrial environments.

• Green Book / SHO registration with JKKP is an added advantage but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety management software.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative whilst collaborating effectively with management and staff.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement in safety standards.

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian occupational health and safety legislation, regulations and best practices.

• Good knowledge of workplace safety and health practices.

• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Willing to be based in Kuala Lipis, Pahang.
