Requirements
Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, material identification and stocktaking.
Able to maintain accurate records and use Microsoft Office and ERP, MRP or inventory systems.
Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented and able to work independently with Production, Planning, Purchasing and Quality.
Knowledge of FIFO, 5S, material traceability and ISO 9001 or AS9100 requirements is an advantage.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
Proficiency: Able to communicate and prepare basic work records.
Minimum 2 years of warehouse or inventory experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace or precision machining experience is an advantage.
A valid forklift competency certificate or relevant material-handling training is an advantage.
Responsibilities
1. Receiving and Inspection Coordination
Receive and verify incoming materials and goods against purchase orders, delivery orders and packing documents.
Check quantities and visible condition, then coordinate with Purchasing and Quality on shortages, damage or discrepancies.
Ensure materials requiring inspection are properly identified and transferred for incoming inspection before use.
2. Storage and Material Control
Label, identify and store materials in designated locations with clear part, lot or batch status.
Maintain material traceability and separate accepted, rejected, quarantined and non-conforming items.
Apply FIFO, shelf-life and special storage controls where required.
3. Inventory and Production Support
Issue, transfer and return materials based on approved requests and production requirements.
Prepare and kit materials for production when required.
Maintain accurate inventory transactions and records in the company's ERP, MRP or inventory system.
Conduct cycle counts and assist with monthly and annual stocktakes; investigate and report variances.
4. Documentation and Compliance
Maintain receiving, issuance, transfer, return and stock adjustment records.
Follow company procedures, work instructions, AS9100 requirements and applicable customer requirements.
Support internal, customer and certification audits relating to warehouse and inventory activities.
5. Safety and Housekeeping
Maintain a safe, clean and organized warehouse in accordance with 5S and workplace safety requirements.
Operate material-handling equipment or a forklift only when trained, competent and authorized.
Report unsafe conditions, damaged materials, inventory shortages and operational issues to the superior promptly.
Perform other related duties assigned by the superior.
