About the Role

The Senior Executive - Application Technical Analyst is responsible for ensuring the technical stability, performance, availability, security, and integration of the organization’s Industry Specifics business applications. This role provides technical expertise in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting , enhancement, and continuous improvement of business applications to ensure reliable and effective support for business operations.

The role encompasses application technical support, system monitoring, incident and problem resolution, application integration, API and interface management, database and data -related support, technical change and release management, and coordination with application vendors and technical service providers. The role works closely with Application Functional Analysts, business stakeholders, infrastructure and security teams, SAP technical teams, vendors, and other relevant parties to ensure that Industry Specifics applications operate effectively and remain aligned with the organization’s enterprise technology landscape.

What You'll Be Doing

Application Technical Operations & Support

• Monitor application performance, availability, interfaces and scheduled jobs.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root cause analysis and coordinate incident resolution.

Application Integration & Interface Management

• Support and maintain integrations between non-SAP applications, SAP and other enterprise systems.
• Investigate API errors, interface failures and data transmission issues.

Application Database & Data Support

• Perform SQL-based data validation, database troubleshooting and data reconciliation.
• Investigate data inconsistencies and coordinate resolution with relevant technical and functional teams.

Technical Change & Release Management

• Assess technical impacts of application enhancements, upgrades and system changes.
• Support SIT, UAT, deployment, release management and post-implementation reviews.

Application Security & Technical Risk

• Coordinate application vulnerability remediation and implementation of technical security controls.
• Support security assessments, access controls and technical risk mitigation.

Application Monitoring, Performance & Reliability

• Monitor application health, system logs, performance trends and recurring technical issues.
• Recommend performance optimisation and support backup, recovery and disaster recovery activities.

Technical Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Maintain technical documentation, system architecture, integration diagrams and troubleshooting procedures.
• Coordinate knowledge transfer from vendors and implementation partners.

Vendor & Stakeholder Technical Coordination

• Coordinate with vendors, SAP teams, infrastructure, cybersecurity and other IT teams to resolve technical issues.
• Collaborate with Functional Analysts to ensure business requirements are technically feasible and properly implemented.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in application technical support, system integration, application administration or technical analysis.
• Experience in enterprise application support, troubleshooting, system monitoring, APIs, databases and technical change management.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and supporting SAP-integrated applications is an advantage.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, SaaS and enterprise integration technologies is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of application architecture, REST APIs, system integration and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of application monitoring, logging, performance management and root cause analysis.
• Understanding of SDLC, change management, release management and deployment practices.
• Knowledge of application security, vulnerability management and access controls.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, integration middleware, Git, CI/CD and SAP S/4HANA is an advantage.

Language Requirements

• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
