Key Responsibilities and Job Content
- Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for both automated and manual testing activities.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and reusable automation components.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and rapid feedback.
- Analyze automation results, identify testing trends, and continuously improve test coverage and effectiveness.
- Perform various types of manual testing, including functional, smoke, regression, and integration testing.
- Plan and execute performance, load, and security testing as required.
- Identify, document, track, and follow up on defects using defect management tools.
- Gain an end-to-end understanding of the system and conduct risk assessments for proposed software changes.
- Work closely with Project/Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and establish effective testing strategies.
- Support the development team in investigating production issues and efficient defect resolution.
- Establish testing standards, processes, and procedures, and recommend appropriate testing tools and technologies.
- Support UAT activities and production release validation.
Professional Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in software and/or web application testing.
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing automated tests for web applications using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience in API testing and REST service validation.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Git/version control systems.
- Strong understanding of test automation architecture, design, and best practices.
- Experience performing functional, performance, load, and security testing.
- Proficiency in SQL for application data querying and validation.
- Experience working within an Agile environment, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, requirements, and circumstances.
- Open-minded, proactive, and positive can-do attitude.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong commitment to technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Additional Skills / Nice to Have
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, network protocols, and web security.
- Experience with Jira, Testmo, k6, OWASP, and Bruno.
- Knowledge of C#/.NET, Docker, Selenium, and Python.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
- ISTQB certification is an advantage.
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
