Key Responsibilities and Job Content

• Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for both automated and manual testing activities.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and reusable automation components.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and rapid feedback.
• Analyze automation results, identify testing trends, and continuously improve test coverage and effectiveness.
• Perform various types of manual testing, including functional, smoke, regression, and integration testing.
• Plan and execute performance, load, and security testing as required.
• Identify, document, track, and follow up on defects using defect management tools.
• Gain an end-to-end understanding of the system and conduct risk assessments for proposed software changes.
• Work closely with Project/Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and establish effective testing strategies.
• Support the development team in investigating production issues and efficient defect resolution.
• Establish testing standards, processes, and procedures, and recommend appropriate testing tools and technologies.
• Support UAT activities and production release validation.

Professional Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in software and/or web application testing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing automated tests for web applications using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience in API testing and REST service validation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Git/version control systems.
• Strong understanding of test automation architecture, design, and best practices.
• Experience performing functional, performance, load, and security testing.
• Proficiency in SQL for application data querying and validation.
• Experience working within an Agile environment, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, requirements, and circumstances.
• Open-minded, proactive, and positive can-do attitude.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Additional Skills / Nice to Have

• Knowledge of software testing methodologies, network protocols, and web security.
• Experience with Jira, Testmo, k6, OWASP, and Bruno.
• Knowledge of C#/.NET, Docker, Selenium, and Python.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
• ISTQB certification is an advantage.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
