Role Summary:

We're looking for a finance intern to support our team in Malaysia with day-to-day finance operations. You'll handle a lot of the hands-on work that keeps our payments accurate and our books clean, like checking vendor invoices, preparing payments and doing reconciliations.

This role suits someone who likes detail, is comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets, and wants to see how finance works in a real business.

Key Responsibilities

Invoices and payments

• Check vendor invoices against purchase orders, quotations or delivery records before they're approved
• Flag missing details, pricing differences or duplicate invoices to the finance team
• Prepare payment batches and supporting documents for approval
• Keep track of payment status and follow up with vendors on outstanding items

Reconciliations

• Do bank reconciliations and investigate unmatched items
• Reconcile vendor statements against our records and help clear differences
• Update reconciliation schedules and keep them accurate

General finance support

• Enter and update transactions in the spreadsheets
• File and organise invoices, receipts and payment records
• Help with month-end closing tasks as needed
• Take on other finance and admin tasks assigned by your supervisor

Requirements

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Accounting, Finance or a related field (diploma or degree)
• Good working knowledge of Excel, including basic formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables
• Careful with details and able to spot when numbers don't add up
• Organised, reliable and able to manage several tasks at once
• Comfortable asking questions and following up with vendors and colleagues
• Good written and spoken English

Pay: Up to RM1,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Shah Alam
