• Job Requirements

• Proficient in at least one mainstream editing software (Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro / CapCut), with a complete subtitling and colour-grading workflow.

• Portfolio including at least one long-form video (3+ minutes) and short-form video samples.

• Able to understand Cantonese (daily meetings are held in Cantonese; you may reply in Mandarin or English).

• Fluent in spoken Mandarin or English.

• Bilingual written Mandarin and English — able to handle bilingual subtitles and copy independently.

• Strong self-learning ability (the most important trait for this role): AI tools evolve faster than we can write tutorials. Six months in, many tools you face will be ones no one on the team has used yet. We need someone who tests them hands-on, turns what works into repeatable workflows, and teaches teammates. Full onboarding support is provided at the start.

• Ownership and proactive communication: in a remote setup, you report progress and flag risks or blockers early, without waiting to be chased.

• Basic hands-on exposure to AI tools: you have tried image or video generation tools and written prompts yourself. Professional AI production experience is not required — curiosity and willingness to experiment matter more.

• Comfortable with technical interfaces: some video workflows use terminal-based tools such as Claude Code / Codex. No coding needed — you will mainly enter commands, read tool outputs and check HTML/CSS results. You should not be put off by a screen full of text and code. Teammates will guide you through the workflow at the start.

• Nice to have (any of the following):

• AI video / image generation: HeyGen, OpenArt, Weavy, Lovart, Diffusion Studio.

• AI collaboration tools: Claude, Codex (our main tools), ChatGPT, Gemini.

• Programmatic video: Hyperframe, Remotion; or experience with terminal / CLI tools and reading basic HTML/CSS.

• Short-form social experience: platform specs, algorithm logic and completion-rate optimisation for Reels / TikTok / Shorts / LinkedIn.

• Data-driven optimisation: thumbnail A/B testing, CTR / completion rate / retention curve analysis.

• Content experience in English-speaking or other overseas markets.

• We are a team focused on AI applications and content. Core business: (1) YouTube channel content and collaborations — our current focus; main channel @timchanai grew to 12,000 subscribers in about six months, and we are expanding into overseas channels; (2) corporate AI training; (3) building AI automation workflows for clients (mainly no-code tools such as Claude Code and n8n); (4) own-brand content and digital products.

• Your work goes straight to a fast-growing real audience — not into a folder of unused pitches. Our production combines traditional editing with AI tools (script assistance, asset generation, auto-subtitles, programmatic video output), building skills that are hard to get elsewhere.

• Main Responsibilities (~80%)

• YouTube long-form editing: own narrative structure and pacing, and be accountable for audience retention.

• Faceless video production: tell stories through visuals and infographics, without on-camera talent.

• Short-form video: YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn.

• Marketing videos: VSLs, video ads, product demos.

• Produce series videos based on existing formats, keeping brand visuals and pacing consistent.

• Turn finalised scripts into storyboards, edit pacing and B-roll plans.

• Bilingual content: Mandarin-English subtitles, plus bilingual localisation of titles, thumbnail text and social copy.

• Secondary Responsibilities (~20%)

• Graphic support: social posts, video thumbnails, presentation slides.

• Motion graphics and animated elements.

• No-code web design.

• The first three months are an adjustment period. After that, we will gradually help you adopt AI-assisted workflows — based on our experience, the same content volume can be done in about one-third of the traditional time. We value your willingness to keep improving the process, not hitting that speed on day one.
