Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Description: Events & Programmes Manager (B2B / Market Expansion)

Company: Freemansland Holdings

Location: Singapore (with regional travel)

Type: Full-time

About the role

We help Singapore SMEs grow beyond Singapore through roundtables, closed-door trade missions, B2B tradeshows and training. You'll own every event end to end, from idea to post-event follow-up, so the founder only signs off on budget, key partners and public content.

Responsibilities

1. Event planning and delivery

  • Plan and run monthly roundtables (20–40 pax) and closed-door sessions (10–15 pax).
  • Run a B2B tradeshow or expo (40–60 exhibitor booths) and overseas trade missions.
  • Source and negotiate venues, AV, F&B, printing and logistics within budget.
  • Build run sheets and floor plans, and manage the event on the day without supervision.

2. Sponsors, exhibitors and partners

  • Sell sponsorship packages and exhibitor booths, and hit revenue targets.
  • Build relationships with chambers, trade associations, EnterpriseSG partners and overseas partners.
  • Secure speakers and guests: founders, experts, government agencies.

3. Audience and marketing (with AI tools)

  • Fill rooms with the right SME decision-makers (owners, directors, C-suite).
  • Run registration, ticketing, reminders and attendance tracking.
  • Work with the marketing team on EDMs, LinkedIn and social posts. Use AI tools to automate invites, follow-ups and reports.

4. Content and podcast

  • Coordinate recording of roundtables as podcast or video episodes.
  • Brief and manage videographers and editors, and make sure episodes go out on schedule.

5. Budget, admin and compliance

  • Own each event's budget and P&L, and report actual vs. planned.
  • Handle permits (e.g. a Police permit for foreign speakers, venue licences) and vendor contracts.
  • Track leads from every event into the CRM and hand warm prospects to sales.

6. Post-event

  • Send surveys, collect testimonials and deliver a post-event report within 5 working days: attendance, revenue, leads and lessons learned.

Must-haves Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years running B2B events, conferences, trade shows or trade missions in Singapore.
  • Proven sponsor or exhibitor sales (please share numbers).
  • Can run an event from start to finish independently, and stays calm under pressure.
  • Strong vendor network in Singapore (venues, AV, F&B, printers).
  • Confident with digital tools: Google Workspace/Notion, event platforms (Eventbrite, Luma, Peatix), CRM, and AI tools such as ChatGPT/Claude.
  • Clear written and spoken English. Mandarin, Bahasa or Vietnamese is a plus for overseas missions.
  • Willing to travel regionally.

Nice-to-haves Qualifications

  • Experience with EnterpriseSG, SBF, chamber events, or overseas trade delegations.
  • Familiarity with MRA or other internationalisation grants.
  • Podcast or video production coordination.
  • Training or workshop coordination (for the later B2B training arm).
