Job Description – Indoor Sales Assistant

Position Summary

SK Lifestyles is looking for an Indoor Sales Assistant to join our showroom sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to walk-in and online customers, understanding their requirements, recommending suitable products, preparing quotations, following up on enquiries, and working towards monthly sales targets.

Our product range includes customised cabinets, kitchen solutions, doors and windows, and kitchen & bathroom products. As many of our products are customised, the position requires someone who is willing to learn product specifications, measurements, materials and basic design concepts.

Product knowledge and training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Showroom Sales
• Attend to walk-in, WhatsApp, phone and online customer enquiries professionally.
• Understand customers' needs, preferences, measurements, budget and project requirements.
• Introduce and recommend suitable SK Lifestyles products and solutions.
• Explain product features, materials, specifications, benefits and differences clearly.
• Provide a friendly and professional showroom experience.
• Sales & Customer Follow-Up
• Work towards individual and company monthly sales targets.
• Follow up actively with potential customers, quotations and pending enquiries.
• Handle customer questions and price objections professionally.
• Encourage customers to proceed to the next stage, such as measurement, quotation, design consultation or order confirmation.
• Maintain good relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Quotation & Order Coordination
• Assist in preparing quotations and customer orders accurately.
• Record customer requirements, measurements, specifications, colours, materials and other relevant information.
• Check order details carefully before confirmation.
• Coordinate with designers, technical staff, installers and management when necessary.
• Keep customers updated on the progress of their enquiries and orders.
• Product Knowledge
• Continuously learn about the company's products, including cabinets, kitchen systems, doors/windows, kitchen and bathroom products.
• Understand basic measurements and be comfortable working with mm, cm and feet/inches.
• Learn to understand basic drawings, layouts and product specifications.
• Never provide uncertain technical information to customers; verify with the relevant team member when necessary.
• Showroom & Administrative Duties
• Maintain a clean, organised and presentable showroom.
• Ensure product samples, catalogues and displays are properly arranged.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
• Assist with basic sales administration and other showroom duties when required.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is comfortable communicating with customers face-to-face and through WhatsApp/phone.
• Has a positive attitude towards sales targets and performance KPIs.
• Is proactive in following up with customers rather than waiting only for walk-in sales.
• Is willing to learn technical and customised products.
• Is responsible, punctual and organised.
• Has basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Is comfortable working with measurements and basic calculations.
• Can work independently as well as with a team.
• Previous experience in retail sales, showroom sales, customer service, furniture, cabinets, renovation, building materials, home improvement, kitchen/bathroom or related industries will be an advantage.
• Candidates without related product experience may also apply if they demonstrate good communication skills and a strong willingness to learn.

What We Expect From You

This is not purely a cashier or order-taking position. We expect our Indoor Sales Assistant to actively engage customers, identify their needs, recommend solutions, follow up enquiries and work towards closing sales.

A successful team member should gradually be able to manage the sales process:

Customer Enquiry → Understand Needs → Product Recommendation → Measurement/Design → Quotation → Follow-Up → Handle Objections → Order Confirmation → After-Sales Coordination

Performance Expectations

Performance will generally be assessed based on sales achievement, customer follow-up, quotation conversion, product knowledge, accuracy of orders, customer service, work attitude, teamwork and continuous improvement.
