Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1-2 years of proven experience in tax preparation or as a tax assistant.
Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or specific Malaysian tax software).
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information clearly.
Accurate and efficient data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.
Ability to provide comprehensive administrative support, including scheduling, filing, and document management.
Familiarity with Malaysian tax laws and regulations is a plus.
Fluency in English and Mandarin (ZH) is required for client and internal communication.
Responsibilities
Assist senior tax consultants in preparing and filing various tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
Perform bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts to support tax preparation processes.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information, answer basic tax-related queries, and schedule appointments, maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.
Accurately enter and manage client data and financial information into tax software and internal databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the tax department, including managing correspondence, organizing files, and handling general office duties.
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, spreadsheet creation, and report generation to assist in tax research and client advisory services.
Conduct preliminary reviews of financial documents and tax forms to identify discrepancies or missing information, flagging them for senior staff attention.
Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations through continuous learning and professional development to ensure accurate tax advice and preparation.
