What you'll be doing

• Oversee and manage all operation and maintenance activities across assigned facilities and systems
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and operational issues, implementing effective solutions promptly
• Lead, supervise and mentor junior maintenance technicians and support staff, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety
• Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance schedules and documentation
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when specialist work is required
• Manage maintenance budgets and control costs whilst maintaining quality standards
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate rapid resolution
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, equipment performance and safety incidents

What we're looking for

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy Engineering or its related field. 3–5 years in solar plant maintenance or electrical O&M.
• Candidates must possess a valid Chargeman 11kV or 33kV Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), with hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of high-voltage electrical systems being highly preferred.
• Current or previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role managing maintenance teams
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, power distribution and industrial equipment
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
• Recognised electrical qualifications or certifications (such as City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent professional qualification)
• Proficiency in maintenance management systems and technical documentation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and mentor team members
• Physical ability to perform hands-on maintenance work and work at heights where required
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency maintenance situations
• Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance techniques is advantageous
• Willing to work at Jalan Apas, Tawau, Sabah.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
