About Tokojaya Lao Assurance Co. Ltd

Lao People's Democratic Republic has a population of 6.5 Million with around 10% of its inhabitants being found in its capital, Vientiane. There are currently only three insurance company operating in Lao PDR. There is a huge potential for insurance business in this country as only 2% of motorcycles and 30% of cars are insured. The country is opening its doors to foreign investors and currently there are a number of hydro-electric projects being undertaken by investors from various countries. It is foreseeable that rapid development will be taking place across the country as the nation move forward in developing its economy.

 

History

 

Tokojaya Lao Assurance Co Ltd commenced its operation on 1st November 2007. It is a joint venture between the Ministry of Public Security, Lao PDR and a Malaysian conglomerate - Tokojaya Group of Companies. It is an opportune time to be a part of the driving force that is setting the pace in developing the insurance services of the country. The company is committed to play its role as a leading market leader in promoting an orderly assurance industry in Lao whilst taking the industry to greater heights.
