About Cetakshop
Cetakshop is a custom printing and merchandise company serving businesses across Malaysia and Singapore. We print custom apparel (t-shirts, polo tees, corporate uniforms, jackets), business essentials (namecards, letterheads, flyers, bill books), and produce awards and trophies.
We need a designer who understands that a beautiful mockup means nothing if the print file isn't production-ready. And if you can also shoot and edit a 30-second product video for TikTok, even better.
Why This Role Exists
We're bringing design and content creation in-house so you can work directly with customers — taking briefs, presenting mockups, getting sign-off, and preparing print-ready files. On top of print design, we're building our social media presence and need someone to create engaging visual content (photos and short-form videos) that showcases our products and production process. You're not just a designer here — you're our creative engine.
What You'll Do
Design & Print Production (40% of your time)
- Create t-shirt mockups, corporate uniform designs, and print layouts based on customer requirements
- Prepare print-ready files — correct colour mode, bleed, resolution (300 DPI minimum), correct format for each production method
- Work across multiple print methods: screen printing, DTG, heat transfer, sublimation, embroidery, digital and offset press
- Design business stationery: namecards, letterheads, bill books, flyers, envelopes, stickers
- Create trophy and award artwork and engraving files
Content Creation — Photo & Video (25% of your time)
- Shoot product photos for social media, website, and future e-commerce listings
- Create short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook — product showcases, behind-the-scenes production, before/after prints, customer order reveals
- Edit videos using CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools
- Develop a consistent visual style for Cetakshop's social media content
- Work with the Operations & Sales Executive on content calendar and trending ideas
Customer-Facing Design Work (20% of your time)
- Talk directly to customers — take their brief, understand what they want, present mockup options
- Handle design revisions efficiently — guide customers toward decisions, not endless rounds of changes
- Give design advice when customers are unsure (fonts, colours, placement)
- Work with our Operations & Sales Executive to make sure designs match what was quoted
Marketing Design (15% of your time)
- Create ad creatives for Facebook and Instagram campaigns (detailed briefs provided)
- Design social media post graphics, stories, and carousels
- Update website content — product images, banners, promo pages
- Create brochures, catalogues, and marketing collaterals
Must-Have Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Communications, Creative Media or related field
- Portfolio showing design work — print design, digital content, or both
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
- Understands prepress fundamentals — CMYK vs RGB, bleed, resolution, file formats for different print methods
- Able to shoot and edit short-form video content (even using a smartphone + CapCut is fine — we care about the output, not the tools)
- Can communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia (you'll talk to customers directly)
- Attention to detail — a typo or wrong colour mode or missing bleed costs real money in reprints
- Malaysian citizen
Good-to-Have
- Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts — show us your work or personal account
- Video editing skills in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects
- Figma experience (for occasional UI/UX work on a sister product)
- Adobe InDesign (for multi-page documents and catalogues)
- Basic photography skills — product photography, flat lays, lifestyle shots
- WordPress CMS familiarity
- Own transport
