Responsibilities :• Support capture, bid and project team to understand the context and customer needs and defines the initial needs baseline;• Acts as the primary technical leader of the project team.• Acts as lead technical interface with the Customer as regards Solution architecture, design and performance• Assess alternative solutions.• Ensures the feasibility of the Solution including:o adequacy of the solution in term of architecture and technology maturity with respect to solution requirements,o consistency of the Solution with the Product Policy and Make-Team-Buy strategy,o feasibility with respect to cost, schedule, skills, resources and industrial organization,o compliance with the contractual requirements (including offsets) and applicable legislation & regulations (ie export restrictions, Environmental/HSE, safety, security..),o risk assessment and the related mitigation plan.• Ensures that the production and maintenance/service aspects of the Solution are taken into account in terms of: Manufacturability, Maintainability, Consistency between Non-Recurring & Recurring/Production costs.• Ensures, with the support of Specialty Engineering experts that the Solution design takes into account the contract requirements and the applicable legislation, rules and regulations, including product safety & security and Environmental/HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements and standards, that the related certification activities are performed correctly;• Prepare and Sign the Design Validation (Dva) and Reports regularly to the DA on technical status and on technical risks; • Takes into account the remarks from the DA as regards the validity of the Solution and the risk assessment and mitigation• Alerts in a timely manner the PM and DA as needed.• Approves the main bid/project Engineering Reviews and approves the main Engineering deliverables at each project decision milestone.
More precisely in the context of the project• Understand and translate customer needs and orient solution to comply with the product architecture and roadmap,• Master project technical requirements,• Ensure technical interface with customer until delivery and deployment• Identifies and reviews the technical risks and opportunities and the related mitigation plans throughout the project• Organises when appropriate technical meetings and peer reviews in order to perform the Solution or Solution Element technical assessment and validation
Experience required• 5+ years experience in similar positions on projects delivering software-centric systems.• Good experience in the UTM (Unmanned Traffic Management) or ATM (Air Traffic Management) Domain and knowledge of relative standards• Experience in managing diverse stakeholders with different objectives• Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and with international customers• Experience in Product driven model, Product Line Engineering and Lean/Agile Engineering• Ability to drive and formalize retained architecture, design constraints, key and critical topics, key functional and non-functional requirements• SaaS and Cloud based solution
