· Overall in charge of general management of an assigned animal collection to the highest possible standards of animal care and welfare.
· Propose and implement the approved institutional collection plan, including liaising with other zoos and species coordinators regarding acquisition and disposition of specimen in accordance with the MWG Animal Acquisition Guidelines.
· Initiate, administer, and review protocols for animal care and keeper safety, including conducting and reviewing all emergency and safety drills.
