Job Description
NUS Law is adding a new compulsory course, Law & Technology, to its LLB programmes starting from August 2024. The course examines the law as it applies to the use of technology (eg, computer crime, digital assets and data protection) and technology as it applies to the law and legal practice (eg, fundamentals of coding, software tools for legal practice and quantitative legal analysis).
We are offering ongoing, teaching-focused positions, to recruit staff to assist us with teaching the course. Responsibilities will include giving lectures and leading tutorials and, for more experienced appointments, course co-ordination and curriculum development. Staff will also have opportunities to teach elective courses in the technology/IP field.
We are willing to consider appointments on either a full-time or part-time basis, and can accommodate those who wish to combine legal practice with work in academia. Appointments are made for Lecturer (educator-track). NUS offers a highly competitive salary, annual leave and other benefits the remuneration package will depend upon the nature of the appointment.
