The Senior Research Fellow will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator on chip and accelerator design for the Energy-Aware Accelerated Computing (EAC) project, including architecture design, simulation, prototyping, and hardware–software co-design.
LLM- and RAG-assisted interfaces for dataset navigation, workflow discovery, and user interaction — retrieval over the Gym's own datasets, models, workflows, and deposited challenges.
Forward-compatibility to HPC — components that scale from single-GPU teaching instances to multi-node; containerised, reproducible, scheduler-friendly deployment on NUS HPC.
Onboarding and enablement — semi-regular sessions for new Gym users; helping instructors build workflows that generate teaching material from their own sources plus Gym content.

Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent qualification in the visual art, visual culture or a cognate field at the point of application. We seek scholars with strong publication records in leading journals and university presses who are also accomplished educators capable of teaching across multiple levels - from introductory courses for non-majors to graduate seminars - and who can develop interdisciplinary connections within the arts and humanities.
For the Visual Arts and Cultures role, we especially welcome applicants whose expertise spans more than one of the following areas: history and theory of modern and contemporary art, architecture, design, or visual/material culture; visual studies (including visual anthropology); literary and cultural studies; cultural theory and criticism; exhibition studies; and curatorial studies. Applicants whose research includes practice-based or creative methodologies are also encouraged to apply, particularly where these intersect with scholarly inquiry in those fields.
