Role Description The HR Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuching, responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources function. On a day-to-day basis, this role assists with maintaining employee records, preparing HR documents and reports, and updating HR systems and files. The HR Clerk supports recruitment and onboarding activities, helps coordinate staff training sessions, and assists with benefits-related documentation and inquiries. Additional responsibilities include handling general HR correspondence, ensuring accurate data entry into HRIS or manual records, and collaborating with other departments to ensure HR policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications

  • Foundational Human Resources (HR) knowledge with the ability to support daily HR operations.
  • Skills in HR Management support tasks, including maintaining records and assisting with recruitment and onboarding.
  • Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) or similar systems for data entry and record keeping.
  • Ability to assist with Benefits Administration, such as documentation, queries, and basic tracking.
  • Capability to support Training activities, including scheduling, coordination, and maintaining attendance records.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional local languages is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) and basic reporting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on-site with diverse teams and maintain confidentiality of employee information.
  • Relevant certificate, diploma, or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
