About the role

This is an entry training level for a supervisory role. This job is a working level and typically reports into a first-level manager. Provides leadership to employees performing routine work within a single function or work group. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Receives detailed assignments and follows established processes to meet the goals of the unit. Develops schedules and enforces policies and procedures. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the departments operations, schedules, and/or performance goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provides direction to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work at regular intervals
• Develops, improves and enforces compliance with documented procedures for material handling practices
• Supervises the process for receiving, checking and stocking raw materials; sorting and delivering raw materials to production; and packaging finished products and shipping to customers
• Evaluates departmental metrics to measure performance
• Creates reports and regular communication with regard to status of operations
• Identifies and drives process improvements
• Coordinates overall operation of replenishment / kitting activities and movement of inventory
• Schedules materials / kits for the production line
• Supervises material handlers and/or replenishment staff within assigned work teams
• Establishes a team training model and a developmental plan for each employee

About you

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 4-6 years of experience
• Knowledge of warehouse management operations and inventory control methods in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of MRP (manufacturing resource planning)
• Knowledge of cost accounting practices
• Good leadership and coaching skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines
• Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion
• Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,100.00 per month
