Job Description

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

Oversee and coordinate daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and according to the production schedule. Supervise shop floor personnel, maintain quality and safety standards, monitor operational performance, and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve production issues and improve overall productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operational Oversight

  • Plan and assign daily production tasks according to production requirements and priorities.
  • Monitor production output, productivity, and progress against scheduled targets.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient workflow throughout the production process.
  • Identify and address production delays, manpower shortages, and operational issues.

2. Team Supervision

  • Supervise, guide, train, and evaluate production operators and shop floor personnel.
  • Manage daily attendance, manpower allocation, shift arrangements, and work assignments.
  • Monitor employee performance and ensure compliance with company rules and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and support to employees to improve productivity and work performance.

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health requirements, company policies, and workplace procedures.
  • Enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe working practices.
  • Conduct regular checks to identify unsafe conditions and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and disciplined working environment.

4. Quality Assurance

  • Monitor product quality at critical stages of the production process.
  • Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications, quality standards, and applicable requirements such as ISO and GMP.
  • Identify quality issues and coordinate with QA/QC and relevant departments for corrective actions.
  • Minimize defects, rework, and customer complaints through effective production controls.

5. Process Improvement

  • Identify production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement initiatives to reduce waste, downtime, and production losses.
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Recommend improvements to production methods, workflow, manpower utilization, and productivity.

6. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination

  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Department on equipment servicing, preventive maintenance, and urgent repairs.
  • Monitor equipment conditions and report abnormalities or breakdowns promptly.
  • Support troubleshooting activities to minimize production downtime.
  • Ensure machines and equipment are operated properly and safely.

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and maintain daily production reports, shift reports, production records, and relevant documentation.
  • Monitor and report key production indicators, including output, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and manpower utilization.
  • Escalate significant production, quality, safety, or equipment issues to management.
  • Ensure production records and documentation are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.

8. Other Duties

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management from time to time.
  • Work closely with Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, Warehouse, Engineering, and other relevant departments to support overall operational objectives.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
