Senior Systems Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join our team and support one of our key clients in delivering scalable and effective technology solutions.

The role focuses on understanding business requirements, translating them into clear solution specifications and supporting end-to-end solution design. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and external partners to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible, well integrated and aligned with business objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Analysis & Design

• Support the delivery of fit-for-purpose end-to-end solution designs aligned with business and technical objectives.
• Translate business requirements into clear solution specifications, functional requirements and design inputs.
• Contribute to the end-to-end solution design process and ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
• Analyse solution feasibility, application design, integration points and potential downstream impacts.
• Ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and effectively integrated across relevant systems and platforms.
• Understand business models, processes and drivers and translate them into platform configurations, specifications or enhancements.
• Provide technical and functional advice to stakeholders on solution options, design impacts and implementation considerations.

Business & Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise with business users and stakeholders to gather, clarify, analyse and document requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective system designs.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and technology partners to support technical strategies that improve business effectiveness and service offerings.
• Communicate solution concepts, technical considerations and design impacts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support partner engagements and new business initiatives where required.

Digital & Customer-Centric Solutions

• Apply digital and customer-centric thinking when assessing technology solutions.
• Conduct user journey analysis to understand customer and business needs.
• Apply design thinking and human-centric approaches during solution assessment and design.
• Consider usability, customer experience and business outcomes when evaluating proposed solutions.

RFP / RFT & Documentation

• Support RFP and RFT responses by providing technical input, solution analysis and relevant documentation.
• Prepare and maintain solution design artefacts including:
• Information Architecture (IA) documents
• Sequence diagrams
• Process flows
• Workflows
• Solution specifications
• Other relevant technical and functional documentation
• Follow agreed processes, project milestones and documentation standards established by the team.

Industry & Technical Experience

Candidates should have experience in areas such as:

• Telecommunications or related technology environments.
• Mobile and broadband network systems.
• CRM platforms.
• Billing systems.
• Provisioning systems.
• Inventory management systems.
• Service delivery and fulfilment platforms.
• System integrations and enterprise applications.
• Digital solutions and customer journey analysis.

Experience with CRM platforms such as Compax will be an advantage.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in Systems Analysis, Solution Design or a related technology role.
• Strong background and hands-on experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Good understanding of telecommunications systems, platforms and business processes.
• Experience working across CRM, billing, provisioning, inventory, delivery and system integration environments.
• Experience in digital solution assessment, user journey analysis, design thinking and human-centric solution approaches.
• Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently on assigned solution components while escalating issues appropriately.
• Strong collaboration skills with business users, technical teams and external partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work within agreed timelines.
